Los Angeles street artist “Common Cents” kicks off the new year with a huge billboard takeover. Here’s what he had to say:
“I wanted to start 2014 with something big. And what’s bigger or better than a full billboard takeover? This piece sort of pays tribute to my punk roots, and is my own interpretation of the cover of one of my favorite albums as a kid, “…and out come the wolves” by Rancid. I guess what I was trying to convey is that no matter how big and bad you make yourself seem, at one point or another the world is gonna get you down and make you suffer. No one is invincible, physically OR emotionally. And for your viewing pleasure, I added a little blooper at the end. Never forget to laugh at yourself.”
The billboard is 12 feet by 24 feet in Echo Park.
BLOOPER ADDED AFTER VIDEO!!!
